59 x 49 Reliefography
I decide to rescue the features of surfaces throughout a city by rubbing a pencil on paper over different surfaces (Frottage). Afterwards it goes through a process I created and named RELIEFGRAPHY. This is my way of capturing forgotten details, to validate them and break down their three-dimensional nature on a piece of paper, using their shapes to create new shapes. A testimonial to show that "this thing" that viewers are appreciating was in a specific place, taken from a real element and that this paper had contact with that element. A way of showing that behind every picture there is a story; a journey; hours and hours of walks through the city, people looking or asking, torn up paper and wind that prevented me from working.
