Throughout human history, animals have lived alongside us as our source of food, comfort, inspiration for art and religion, as well as folklore. Humans and animals are integrally connected, but contemporary life has profoundly disconnected us. In my mixed media work I have created my own animal Mythology to portray stories that have been imbued with human attributes to express a chaotic place that reveals an alternative reality. The imaginary animals and creatures are seen rebelling and regrouping themselves to form their own mysterious world that, perhaps, humans have lost.
