These graceful steel sculptures all reflect aspects of earth and sky mythologies: “Songlines” from ancestral stories of Australian aboriginal cultures, “Thunderbolt” from the myriad sky gods depicted throughout history and “Polaris”, the ever constant star in the constellation Ursa Minor with its surrounding stories and myths. “Songlines” is a kinetic sculpture with a slowly spinning earth globe. Tendrils of ancient stories, or songlines, cradle our planet as it turns quietly in space. “Thunderbolt” rests on its cradle to be brandished overhead with God-like authority. “Polaris” is steel and jasper gracefully suspended over a granite base.
